2024 BaumaLight Brush Mulchers Excavator MX948R

The Baumalight MX948R Brush Mulcher has a 48” rotor and is designed for excavators starting at 12 tons. With a 70” path, the MX948R uses a fixed tooth holder and has 27 heavy duty double carbide tipped teeth (R9000) that are ideal for clearing heavy brush and trees. The MX948R comes with aggressive root rake teeth that are built into the frame. The root rake is perfect for ripping out rocks and moving logs. The unit also has a heavier duty body, built with a low-weight, high-strength AR400 steel and is equipped with replaceable body wear plates.

Features may include:

• Save time by easily replacing the AR400 steel wear plates on the MX948R without needing to remove the rotor.

• The adjustable belt tensioner ensures the proper tension of your belts, with no extra idler wheel that could wear out. Simply loosen the bolts and raise the motor mount to tighten the belt.

• To prevent pressure relief activation on the motor seal, the MX948R comes with a case drain line and a vent to atmosphere relief valve. In the event there is a spike in pressure in your hydraulic lines, the case drain will relieve the pressure and drain it back into the return line and back to the tank. If the connection of the case drain (third line) is missed or if the line is blocked, then the case drain will vent to notify you. A properly installed case drain protected by a vent to atmosphere relief valve will save the work of replacing your shaft seal and save you from down time of unexpected maintenance.

• The rear of the unit is guarded by a 3/8” thick chain curtain so standing brush enters and mulched debris exits.

• The MX948R are equipped with a root rake for pushing fallen logs or other debris out of the way. These are replaceable bucket-style scrapper teeth.
